Golden Eagles searching for BIG EAST tourney spot
The Marquette University women's soccer team (5-9-4, 2-5-2 BIG EAST) wraps up the regular season at nationally ranked Xavier on Thursday night, searching for the team's first bid to the BIG EAST tournament since 2017.

The 5 p.m. CT matchup on Oct. 26 will help determine if the Golden Eagles are able to claim the sixth seed in this year's tourney.
MU Searching For Postseason Bid     Â
Marquette, in possession of 10 points in the BIG EAST standings, can claim the sixth and final spot in the league tournament with a win over the Musketeers and some help through other conference results on Thursday night.

Along with a win, the Golden Eagles also need a loss by Seton Hall, a Butler draw or loss and a draw or loss by DePaul. Â Marquette must win to have any chance at the postseason.
Easter Seeing Lots Of Action        Â
Goalkeeper Mikki Easter has settled into the starting netminder role for Marquette and has been busy between the pipes this season.

Through matches of Oct. 22, Easter ranks second in the BIG EAST in both saves (68) and saves per game (4.25). Â She is also tied for fifth in the league in shutouts (4).

Marquette is tops in the BIG EAST and fifth in the nation in fouls per game (13.44).
