
Robinson Tied for Ninth at Puerto Rico Classic

Evangelio, Lyons and Robinson are under par after two rounds
RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The Marquette University men's golf team is 1-over par (292-285) after two rounds of the Puerto Rico Classic. Marquette is tied for 10th out of 13 teams heading into the final round tomorrow.
MU was 4-over par after the first round at the Grand Reserve Golf Club. The Golden Eagles bounced back on day two finishing 3-under par in the second round as a team.
Josh Robinson leads Marquette through 36 holes of competition at 5-under par. Robinson followed up his first round 2-under par 70 with his low round of the season, a 3-under par 69. Robinson rolled in four birdies and had only one bogey on the day. Robinson is currently tied for ninth individually.
Nicolás Evangelio had the low round on the day with a 4-under par 68, tying his season low. Evangelio heated up when he moved onto the front nine of the Grand Reserve, playing the first five holes 4-under par. Evangelio made a birdie on No. 1 and followed it up with an eagle on the par-5 No. 2. He would roll in another birdie on the par-5 fifth. Evangelio is 1-under par for the tournament.
Max Lyons finishes the day at 2-under par for the tournament after an even par 72. Lyons made three birdies and three bogies with pars in between. Lyons is currently tied for 26th.
East Tennessee State continues to lead after 36 holes at 19-under par (272-285). The final round begins tomorrow at 5:30 a.m. CT.
