RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The Marquette University men's golf team finished 1-over par (292-285-288—865) in the Puerto Rico Classic at the Grand Reserve Golf Club. MU finished 11th out of 13 teams.
Josh Robinson was the top MU finisher, tying for 14th place with a 54-hole career-low 6-under par 210 (70-69-71).
The Lisburn, Northern Ireland native entered the final round 5-under par after shooting a season-low 3-under par 69 in the second round. In the final round, Robinson posted his third consecutive sub-par round with a 1-under par 71. Starting on No. 11, Robinson made his first birdie of the day on the par-4 14th and rolled in another on the par-4 No. 7. Robinson had his lone bogey of the round on the par-4 No. 9.
Bhoom Sima-Aree had the low score of the day with a 4-under par 68. He tied Nicolás Evangelio's second-round score for the low round of the tournament.
Starting on hole 14, Sima-Aree bogeyed his second hole of the day but quickly bounced back with a birdie on the par-4 17th. He stayed bogey-free the rest of the day and rolled in four more birdies on Nos. 2, 5, 11 and 13.
Oklahoma overtook East Tennessee State in the final round to win the Puerto Rico Classic with a 30-under par 834 (283-279-272).
