
Golf heads to Arizona for Loyola Intercollegiate

Round one begins Sunday, Feb. 26 at 9:45 a.m. CT
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's golf team is off to Goodyear, Ariz. For the Loyola Intercollegiate on Feb. 26-28 at Palm Valley Golf Club.
THE EVENT
Loyola Maryland will be playing host to 19 teams at the Loyola Intercollegiate. Joining MU will be Ball State, Bucknell, Delaware, Drake, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Howard, Idaho, Marshall, Missouri State, Northern Colorado, Seton Hall, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville, St. john's, Utah Valley and Wright State.
The tournament consists of three rounds with 18 holes being played each day. Round one will begin Sunday, Feb. 26 with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. CT. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.
THE COURSE
Palm Valley Golf Club features 27 holes broken up into three 9-hole courses. For the tournament, the teams will be playing on the north and south courses. Both courses are a par 36 layout designed by golf course architect Arthur Hills.
The 18-hole layout will play at 7,015 yards as a par 72 with a slope of 130 and a course rating of 73.0.
THE LINEUP
Lineup: Josh Robinson, Nicolás Evangelio, Max Lyons, Bhoom Sima-Aree, Patrick Adler
Individual: Tyler Leach
MU shuffles up the lineup from Puerto Rico with Patrick Adler moving into the lineup and Tyler Leach competing as an individual.
Josh Robinson was the low-man last time out at the Grand Reserve Golf Club with a career-low 6-under par 210 (70-69-71). Robinson finished tied for 14th place and earned BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honors for his performance at the Puerto Rico Classic.
Nicolás Evangelio and Bhoom Sima-Aree turned in the low rounds of the tournament with 4-under par 68s. Evangelio posted his 68 in the second round, making three birdies and one eagle. Sima-Aree holed five birdies in his final round of the tournament en route to his 4-under par performance.
