Golden Eagles continue road swing at Milwaukee Sept. 7
The Marquette University women's soccer team (1-3-1, 0-0-0 BIG EAST) opened a three-match road swing with a 3-0 setback at UIC (1-2-1) Thursday night at Flames Field.

UIC found the back of the net on three of its five shots on goal, proving to be the difference in the match. MU finished with nine total shots, led by Isa Cook's three.

Marquette controlled possession in the first half, but unfortunately the Flames were able to connect on both of their quality scoring chances for the 2-0 advantage at the intermission. MU's best chances came in the 30th minute, when short-range attempts by both Kate Gibson and Josie Bieda were smothered by the UIC netminder.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, Sept. 7 when the team travels to UW-Milwaukee for a 7 p.m. CT matchup.
