Marquette returns to host Eastern Michigan Sunday at noon CT
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Marquette University women's lacrosse team fell 22-17 at Ohio State on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles (2-6, 0-0 BIG EAST) were led by Meg Bireley, who had a career-high eight goals. Eight goals tie the program's single game record for goals in a game.
Tess Osburn and Hanna Bodner each netted hat tricks. Bodner had three draw controls for the third game in a row.
Senior captain Leigh Steiner had three points with two goals and an assist. Steiner had five draw controls, the second game in a row with 5-or-more draw controls.
Ohio State (6-2, 0-1 BIG TEN) was led by Jamie Lasda and Leah Sax who had six points each.
