Kropp sets single season draw control record
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University women's lacrosse fell to Georgetown on Saturday, 18-11, at Valley Fields.
The Golden Eagles (5-10, 1-3 BIG EAST) were led by Leigh Steiner and Meg Bireley who had four points each.
Steiner, reigning BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, had two goals and two assists for her 12th game this season with three-or-more points.
Meg Bireley had her ninth hat trick of the season and added an assist. Bireley was sixth in the nation in goals coming in and has 57 goals on the season.
Josie Kropp had 11 draw controls, her sixth game with 10-or-more this season, and set the single season record for draw controls in a season with 120.
Georgetown (6-9, 4-1 BIG EAST) was led by Emma Gebhardt who had four goals and one assist.
