WLAX Hosts Niagara Friday Night at Valley Fields

Golden Eagles begin two-game homestand
Marquette University women's lacrosse hosts Niagara on Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. CT at Valley Fields. The game will be broadcast on FloCollege with Matt Menzl (play-by-play) and Eric Simon (analyst) on the call.
Marquette and Niagara have met six times before with the Golden Eagles leading the series, 4-2. The Purples Eagles are one of four teams on MU's 2025 schedule that made the NCAA tournament a year ago.
Marquette is coming off a 22-5 loss at No. 8 Michigan on Sunday. Meg Bireley had her fourth hat trick of the season. Sunday was MU's first loss of the season after starting the year 3-0, tied for the best start in program history with the 2023 squad.
The Golden Eagles are first in the BIG EAST and top-20 nationally in free-position percentage, converting on 54.5 percent of their attempts (12-of-22) on the young season. Marquette is ninth in the country in ground balls per game (20.50) and 23rd in shots per game (32.50).
Following Friday's game, MU hosts No. 3 Northwestern on Friday, March 7 at 5 p.m. CT at Valley Fields.
