
Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete: Kendall Pfrimmer

Pfrimmer is the VP of Community Service for MU's SAAC
MILWAUKEE - Women's distance runner Kendall Pfrimmer is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for February 2022, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff. Â
Pfrimmer is a senior in the College of Nursing, and a member of the women's cross country and track & field teams. She is a member of the SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) E-Board, as Vice President of Community Service. Kendall has also completed LEAD Leadership training all four years of her Marquette Athletics career, and co-facilitates sessions with first-year LEAD freshmen. She has been involved in peer mental health programs with SHAPE (Student Health Allies & Peer Educators) in Athletics.

Throughout the pandemic, Pfrimmer has continued with her nursing clinical placements, as an essential worker on rotations in Coronary ICU, Labor & Delivery, and Surgical ICU units. She also completed a community health rotation with the Milwaukee Health Department, implementing public health policies and focusing on access to care.

Active in her community, Pfrimmer has worked as an assistant teacher in a child-care center, and volunteers with Community Food Response. Combining leadership and service, and achieving honors on the College of Nursing Dean's List, and Big East Academic Honor Roll, and A.D. Honor Roll, Kendall will graduate in May.
The native of Rochester, Minnesota was MU's top finisher at the 2021 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships at 24th overall and has twice finished in the top-six at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 10,000 meter run.
