MILWAUKEE - Senior men's basketball player Cameron Brown is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2024, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Brown has a double major in marketing, and information systems in the College of Business Administration. He has earned Dean's List and AD Honor Roll every term and BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors each year. He is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the honor society for collegiate student athletes.
This summer, Brown was one of two student-athletes to represent Marquette at the BIG EAST Mental Health & Wellness Summit. He collaborated with other BIG EAST student-athletes to share best practices and identify and strengthen mental health outreach on league campuses. He was selected VP of Communications for the SAAC E-board, and works to share information on SAAC initiatives internally and externally. In addition, Cam served as a marketing intern this summer for Marquette Athletics, focusing on communications to all stakeholders.
The native of Dallas, Texas appeared in a career-high 11 games as a junior in 2023-24 and recorded his first career points on a 3-pointer against Rider on Nov. 10, 2023.
