
Track & Field Prepares for BIG EAST Championships

The BIG EAST Indoor Championships will be held on Feburary 25 and 26
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track and field team will be competing in the 2022 BIG EAST Indoor Championships presented by JEEP this Friday and Saturday in Chicago. The meet will be hosted by DePaul at the Gately Track & Field Center.
This is the first BIG EAST Indoor Championships since 2020. In 2020, both the men's and women's teams received runner up honors.
The championship meet will kick off Friday morning with the women's pentathlon at 9 a.m. CT. Men's and women's field events will follow at 10:30 a.m. The track events are scheduled to start shortly after at 11:30 a.m.
Day two of the BIG EAST Championships will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the conclusion of the men's heptathlon. The conclusion of the remain track and field events are slated to follow shortly after the start of the men's heptathlon.
Live results for the BIG EAST Championships can be found here. The meet will air on the BIG EAST Digitial Network presented by SoFi on FloSports. Meet coverage will begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. CT.

- 26 Golden Eagles achieved personal bests with four adding their names to the Marquette all-time top-ten lists.
- Arianna Mansavage improved her PR by .20 seconds in the 2000-meter running 25.25 in route to winning the event. Mansavage's time comes in at No. 10 all-time in MU history.
- Lindsey Mirkes placed first in the high jump with a mark of 12.69 meters/5 feet, 6.5 inches.
- Megan Wallace set PR's in both the 60-meter hurdles (8.92) and the long jump (5.61 meters/ 18 feet, 5 inches). Wallace's hurdle's time ranks No. 6 all-time.
- Mallory Lafever achieved a PR in the mile with a time of 5:15.61, a four second improvement from her previous PR.
- Vinnie Voudrie set a PR in the weight throw with a throw of 18.71 meters/61 feet, 5 inches. Voudrie's throw sits at No. 8 all-time in MU history and the furthest throw in the BIG EAST this year.
