MU will be competing in the Drake Relays and UWW Drake Alternative April 28-30
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track & field teams will be sending representatives to Drake and Whitewater this weekend for a pair of meets. The Drake Relays will take place from Thursday, April 28 to Saturday, April 30. The Drake Alternative at UW-Whitewater will take place Friday, April 29.
MU will be sending members of the squad to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the Drake Relays. The meet will begin Thursday evening with the men's and women's distance events. The remainder of the field events and relays will follow the next two days. Live results for the entire meet can be found here.
The rest of the team will travel to Whitewater Friday. The meet begins at noon at Foster Track and Fiskum Field. Live results for the Drake Alternative can be found here.
LAST TIME OUT:
Last week the Golden Eagles competed at the Warhawk Invitational & Multi. The women took first and the men second at last weekend's meet.
The Golden Eagles will travel up to Madison Friday, May 6 for the Badger Invitational.

Last week the Golden Eagles competed at the Warhawk Invitational & Multi. The women took first and the men second at last weekend's meet.
- 30 Golden Eagles set personal bests at Whitewater.
- Sophomore Mitchell Van Vooren won the 400-meter hurdles running a personal best time of 53.70 and the No. 7 time in program history. Freshman Caden George took second with a PR of 58.48.
- Mila Puseljic took home the gold in the heptathlon with 3810 points. Puseljic finished in the top two in five of the seven events.
- Simon Werven won the decathlon with a score of 6235. Werven recorded PRs in the 110-meter hurdles (15.37), Javelin (39.31m) and 1500 meters (4:35.78).
- Carley Hintz ran personal bests in the 200 (25.75) and 100 (12.34) meters. Hintz took first in the 200m and received runner-up honors in the 100m.
- The MU women swept the top three spots in the high jump with Lindsey Mirkes winning the event clearing a height of 1.68 meters/5 feet, 6 inches. Annika Bynum and Katie Dingle follow both reaching a mark of 1.58 meters/5 feet, 2.25 inches.
The Golden Eagles will travel up to Madison Friday, May 6 for the Badger Invitational.
