Junior women’s lacrosse player is double major in finance and marketing
MILWAUKEE – Junior women's lacrosse player Sayla Lotysz is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for December 2024, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Lotysz is enrolled in the College of Business Administration, double majoring in finance and marketing. She is in the AIM program in the finance/technology concentration. AIM (Accelerating Ingenuity in Markets) offers customized learning experiences to prepare ambitious, academically accomplished students for competitive finance and technical careers. AIM students engage in hands-on assignments that simulate Wall Street jobs in the rapidly changing fintech space.
The Rosemount, Minnesota native has had internships as a video creator, working with artificial intelligence initiatives in real world applications, and also was a finance intern with Fiserv. She has earned Dean's List, AD Honor Roll, and BIG EAST All-Academic honors every semester. Sayla has earned a 4.0 cumulative GPA. She is also a peer tutor and is involved in SAAC. Her team community service has included pancreatic cancer awareness events, 'Reading with Golden Eagles' and other literacy events.
On the field, Lotysz has appeared in 12 games for the Golden Eagles and has three career goals.
