MILWAUKEE – The Marquette men's and women's track & field teams will be traveling to Chicago this Friday, Dec. 10 for the Blue Demon Holiday Invite. DePaul will be hosting the meet at Gately Track & Field Center.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT with the field events. The running events are slated to follow at 4:30 p.m. CT. Live results will be available here.
Joining DePaul and Marquette at the meet will be Butler, Chicago State, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola, and Illinois-Chicago.
NOTABLES LAST TIME OUT:
The Golden Eagles are coming off their season opener at the Blue & Gold Invite hosted by Notre Dame.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
Sophomore Mila Puseljic: "The first meet was pretty good. I was excited to be out there again and competing. This week I'm going to be doing some different events, so I'm just trying to get some PRs and get some competition in."
Junior Harry Baker: "The first meet went very well for me. I managed to get a college PR in my fourth year and jump the highest I have (1.98/6 feet, 6 inches), so it was a pretty good day for myself."
Senior Lindsey Mirkes: "Last meet was the strongest I've ever started a season, indoors especially. I'm feeling really strong, feeling bouncy. I'm excited to go to the DePaul meet and see the track again since that will be where the BIG EAST is."
Senior Joe Keys: "Some of last week was just shaking the rust off, it was a good starting point for the season. Being a decathlete, I'll be doing different events from what I did last week. So, this meet I'll be trying to get a good starting point in those and know what I have to work on going into the winter break."
UP NEXT:
Both teams will be on break for the holidays and will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at UW-Parkside.
