
Track & Field Heads to Madison for St. Valentine's Invite

Track & field conclude indoor regular season at UW-Madison
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams will be heading to Madison this Friday, Feb. 18 to compete in the St. Valentine's Invite hosted by UW-Madison. This will be the Golden Eagles' final meet before the BIG EAST Indoor Championships.
The meet will be held at the Shell on UW-Madison's campus next to Camp Randall Stadium. Events will begin at 2:00 p.m. CT with the field events. The running events will follow at 5:00Â p.m. CT. Live results for the St. Valentine's Invite can be found here.
NOTABLES LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Eagles are coming off last weekend's GVSU Big Meet that saw over 1,800 competitors and 159 teams.
Next weekend the Marquette men's and women's track and field teams will be heading to Chicago to compete in the BIG EAST Indoor Championships hosted by DePaul. The meet will take place Friday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 26.

- Junior Kendall Pfrimmer placed ninth in her heat of the 5000-meter run. Pfrimmer set a PR of 16:53.78 that ranks as No. 5 all-time in MU history.
- Sophomore Mallory Lafever set a new PR of 18:19.64 in the 5000-meter run.
- Dan Weizeorick (14:45.14), Jordan Janusiak (14:49.84) and David Zeller (14:55.16) all achieved PRs in the men's 5000-meter run.
- Sophomore Patrick Hetlage set a new PR in the 3000-meter of 8.33.10, 26 seconds faster than his previous PR.Â
- Sophomore Simon Werven recorded a PR of 6.53 meters/21 feet, 5.25 inches in the long jump.
- In the 800-meter, Cade Ferron finished with a personal best time of 1:53.77.Â
