Senior track student-athlete is marketing major in College of Business Administration
MILWAUKEE – Senior track & field student-athlete Annika Bynum is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for April, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Annika is a senior in the College of Business Administration, majoring in marketing with a focus on personal selling, and has a minor in psychology. Annika has earned Dean's List, AD Honor Roll, and BIG EAST All-Academic team honors every semester at Marquette.
An advocate for student-athlete mental health, she has a leadership role with SHAPE (Student Health Allies and Peer Educators) – Marquette athletic's peer mental health group. She currently serves as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Vice President for Mental Health. Annika has been instrumental in coordinating health and wellness programming and partners with campus resources within Athletics to offer a 'wellness week' each semester. Annika has had multiple internships in social media, focusing on digital storytelling and support to non-profit organizations.
The native of Wadsworth, Illinois has competed in over 50 meets for the Golden Eagles in the high jump. She has won bronze at the BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships the last two years and qualified for the NCAA West First Round last outdoor season.
