
Track & Field Travels to Pair of Weekend Meets

The Golden Eagles are competing at Grand Valley State and UW-Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette men's and women's track & field teams will be competing in a pair of meets his weekend as the indoor season continues. MU will be sending six competitors to Grand Valley State to compete in the Bill Clinger Classic (Jan. 28-29). The rest of the team will be competing on Saturday at UW-Milwaukee in the John Tierney Invitational at the Klotsche Center.
The Bill Clinger Classic will start at 9 a.m. CT Friday morning with the Pentathlon and Heptathlon. The events at GVSU will conclude Saturday morning. Live results for the Bill Clinger Classic can be found here.
The events at the John Tierney Invitational will kick off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the field events. The running events will begin around 2:30 p.m. Â Live results can be found here.

Next weekend the Golden Eagles will be competing in a pair of events. They will be sending representatives to the Meyo Invite hosted by Notre Dame (Feb. 4-5) and the Parkside Classic hosted by UW-Parkside (Feb. 5).

- MU claimed 16 titles and set 33 personal bests last weekend.
- Senior Megan Wallace placed first in the 55-meter hurdles with a PR 8.34, No. 8 all-time.
- Junior Harry Baker won the high jump with a PR of 2 meters/6 feet, 6.75 inches.
- Sophomore Patrick Hetlage finished first in the mile with a PR 4:24.30. Fellow Golden Eagle Jadon Conroy followed in second with a PR 4:24.43.
- Lindsey Mirkes, Katie Dingle, Annika Bynum and Emma Ludwig claimed the top four spots in the women's high jump. Mirkes took first with a mark of 1.65 meters/5 feet, 5 inches and Bynum set a PR of 1.60 meters/5 feet, 3 inches.
- Vinnie Voudrie and Trey Baskin claimed first and second, respectively, in the weight throw. Voudrie took first with a throw of 16.59 meters/54 feet, 5.25 inches and Baskin threw a PR 16.07 meters/ 52 feet, 8.75 inches.
